Society for Histotechnology Welcomes You!
Currently, the KSH is running without officers. This year's Symposium was organized by Debbie Luttrell with the help of Jaime Carver, Cynthia Long, Mary Martin and Heather Milliken. Without the interest and dedication of these people there would not be a Symposium this year. When you see them or talk to them please thank them. HOWEVER, we really do need nominations for a Board of Directors (you are welcome to nominate yourself for any office and the nomination form is attached). Elections are held in May. Remember: without your interest and input, the KSH may cease to exist. Please seriously consider running for office to help ensure the continuation of your state Society.
The Kentucky Society for Histotechnology is a
non-profit organization established to foster communication and
education among the histotechnologists located at various institutions
around the state of Kentucky. Our bimonthly meetings held
regionally are designed to provide an ongoing educational program.
In addition a major symposium, including workshops, is held annually.
The program provides continuing education to histologists and pathologists
from hospitals and research laboratories. Our objective is
to improve standards in histopathology laboratories with up to date
methods and scientific advances in the field of histotechnology.
Our meetings supplement the educational effort of the National Society
for Histotechnology (NSH) that holds an annual national meeting.
Information on the NSH can be obtained directly from their website
and information on this year's annual meeting can be found on our
